Rose Francis Elevator Pitch Competition

An elevator pitch is an overview of a business idea or commercial opportunity, and should be able to convince an investor to consider investing in your business idea in the amount of time it would take to reach your floor while riding in an elevator with him or her. The elevator pitch competition is open to ANY current University of Iowa undergraduate or graduate student, and $20,000 in cash prizes will be awarded. Newly formed ideas and early stage businesses will pitch on the first day of the competition, and validated businesses will pitch on the second day of the competition. This competition is hosted by the University of Iowa John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center (Iowa JPEC) and the Starman Foundation.
