Cedar Rapids has done tremendous work to recover and re-develop after the devastating flooding in 2008 that inundated much of the downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. Partnering with the IISC helped the City of Cedar Rapids, and several local non-profits organizations, such as the Czech Village/New Bohemia Main Street District and Brucemore Historic Estate, continue to build upon their efforts.
