Join OSA archaeologist Cherie Haury-Artz for a presentation on ancient technology, "How Did They Do That?" which examines prehistoric technologies including flint knapping, pottery, cordage and fiber technologies, ground stone tools, hunting technology, how earthlodges and wickiups were built, and more.

The program will start at 11 am.  Tomato soup and a Valentine’s dessert will be served afterwards at 12 pm. Free-will donations will be accepted by Tama County Conservation Board to cover costs for lunch and the guest speaker. Pre-registration by the day before is appreciated to help us plan for meal numbers. Please RSVP to Logan at (641)-484-2231 or lroberts@tamacounty.org

This presentation is part of Tama County Conservation Board's O.W.L.S. series. Older, Wiser, Livelier, Souls is a fun way to get out of the house, learn about nature, and enjoy socializing. Tama County Conservation hosts these presentations on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Presentations are followed by lunch with a view of Otter Creek Lake. This series is designed for seniors but all adults are welcome

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa–sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Logan Roberts in advance at (641)-484-2231 or lroberts@tamacounty.org.
